Our Campaign

Aldersbrook Medical Centre is a GP practice in the East London neighbourhood of Aldersbrook in Wanstead and has been operating for over 40 years.

Five years ago, Richmond Road GP practice was awarded a contract to run Aldersbrook for an initial five-year contract with an option to continue for a further five years.

Aldersbrook has improved its service in the past five years, creating more appointments and links with the local community.

However, the Integrated Care Board of North East London decided to cut funding for its service by ten per cent, which has threatened Aldersbrook Medical Centre’s viability. As a result, the Richmond Road Partnership has decided not to bid for a further contract.

This is a campaign led by the Patient Participation Group of Aldersbrook Medical Centre. We aim to ensure the practice’s survival and fight the degradation of its essential services to our community.

This campaign is independent of the Aldersbrook Medical Centre and the Richmond Road Group.
